August 24, 2005 -- DONALD Trump's buildings are attracting more than just plain folks. The latest celeb buyer is crooner Tony Bennett.
He's been renting a pad at Trump Parc but now he has bought next door.
Bennett paid $1.9 million for the beautiful, one-bedroom corner unit with big windows at Trump Parc East at 100 Central Park South.
Singer Bennett is also known for his paintings, and now he'll have some new angles to capture for his celebrated Central Park landscapes. Of course, Trump is gutting and redoing that apartment, just as he is doing for a new penthouse purchaser, First Republic Bank founder and CEO James Herbert, who dropped $13 million for an East Coast pad.
Las Vegas deal-maker and Trump Hotel & Tower Las Vegas partner Jack Wishna lives in the building as well. We've also noticed that other real estate folks also buy in Trump buildings.
SL Green Realty Trust CEO Steven L. Green and his wife, Nancy Peck, own a full floor at Trump World Tower. Most recently, Vornado's Mel Blum and Tishman Speyer's Steven Wechsler have both bought units at Trump International Hotel & Tower at Columbus Circle.
